Improvements - detailed:
Billing by treating provider This new program for Active Partner (ProManager already did this) is in addition to the existing billing programs. It will primarily effect those in offices with more than one doctor who want billing to go to the insurance companies under the name of the doctor who actually performed the treatment, rather than by the assigned (primary) provider. Its been written to greatly speed this process (although, still not nearly as fast or easy as "Complete - One Touch" billing). New Backup Backup was almost completely rewritten to allow for the much larger disks we now have. Changes were made to better support Windows 7 (if you're still running VISTA, update to either Windows 7 or Windows XP!) Several different optional backup methods were added, including back-up to BLUE-SKYBER SPACE. New Archive Archive was largely rewritten, primarily to allow archives of patients and/or transactions WITHOUT first writing the data to disk or requiring printed reports. Those are still there, but are optional. Also, for those who have previously taken "shortcuts" archiving patients without archiving the corresoponding transactions, we've added removal of orphaned transactions (transactions that correspond to no existing patient). Improved electronic billing Many changes were made to better support your electronic billing. These included making all billing capable of writing to a file for sending electronically. Also, printer characteristics were removed from these files . Optional cursors Have you ever had trouble finding the cursor while entering data? You can now choose, in setup, the traditional line (sometimes hard top find) or a larger block cursor. Your choice now appears through out the entire program - large or small, as you wish. Optional New window menu system for Active Partner We've added a completely new menu system (optional) for Active Partner. This is a drop-down menu similar to the one used in ProManager. It is faster than the graphics (picture) menu and appears in a smaller window, which makes it easier to do other simultaneous tasks. We even made the ability to choose mixed methods in a network. This means one workstation (for example the front desk) could run the full screen method, while, at the same time another workstation (for example billing) could run the new drop-down method. Numerous "fixes" and improvements Billing forms and statements have been separated into their own pages. In the past, with too many forms, the program had trouble scrolling correctly. That is now improved. Also, it will now be easier to find the form you want. The database holding billform fields to use has been modified and many fields have been added to increase your options and versatility The Report Filter database has been improved and expanded, giving better report filtering possiblities. Mail Labels was completely re-written to better support lase printers and sheet fed labels. Active Partner reports now print last 2 digits of year rather than 1st 2 digits. Improved Windows 7 support Active Partner gave us a few fits with Vista and Windows 7. These have been overcome and we fully support them now (although if you're still using VISTA (one of the worst operating system MicroSoft ever produced) you're well advised to upgrade to either Windows XP or Windows 7.
Improved USB printer support Changes were made, and we now can better help you print to your USB and/or networked windows printers. Support Utilities Menu We made a Support Utilities program - outside of your office program to help us give you better support. It's a very handy way to do an unlock, go into the "grey bar" internal techincal support area, go to a system prompt without having to search for where we should be, search for all instances of ProGroup software on your computer, view and send error logs, request remote support, access all the E-world functions, send us e-mail, and for Active Partner, switch between graphical and non-graphical menus. Improved technical support capabilities and utilities Many
changes were made to help us better help you. These include adding the
directory path name on the main menu and in dot, more complete error
messaes (adding the source and database in use) and the automatic
creation of error logs which can be sent to us, remote
support, ProGroup Utilities, and many little things that you'll
probably never see, but should increase dependability.
E-World - Internet utilities and access
E-WORLD
is a utility, integrated and included in the update to let you
connect and "talk" to the E-lectronic world. With it you can
send
or view error logs, and send billforms or other files to ProGroup. You
can send e-mail to anyone. And you can connect with ProGroup's webpage
to request support, download files or see what's new. Of course you
have to be connected to the internet for it to work. The next version
will probably show e-mail messages from ProGroup. This is all in
preparation to let you send bills or letters directly to your patients'
e-mail accounts.
And, since you'll be connected, we can log onto your computer (only with your permission) and see what you're seeing or help you with something that is easier to do than tell you what to do.
